AKOComment Anti-Spam Hack |

Page 1 of 10  As some of you may be aware, I am constantly having Spam being injected into my Guest Book and Comments. Both of these components/mambots are provided by Arthur Konze in the AKOBook and AKOComment components. I recently found a mambot called SecureForm Add-on from AlikonWeb.it.
Using this mambot, and a small bit of hacking of your favourite component, allows you to include a security code and the ability to listen to that code as well. SecureForm Add-on includes a couple of hacks already for your Contacts Page and Login Module. If you have a look at my Guest Book and Comment Items now, you should now see that I have it integrated into there. This is still very much in development, as I still need to make sure that I have plugged in all holes before I release it fully. However I have released the akocomment hacks for you to review, as I feel it's the more secured at the moment, which can be installed using the following instructions;
- Backup your files before copying over the following files.
- Download and install SecureForm Add-on , which includes the SecureBot we want (You will need to register)
- Download akocomment.php , and place within /path-to-jooma/components/com_akocomment
- Download akocommentbot.php and place within /path-to-joomla/mambots/content
As you can see I have enabled the comment mambot within this story, so please feel free to give me any feedback or problems you encounter.
