I do have to admit to a little tear of sentiment as I archive the old troozers site, and its Joomla/Mambo specifics, however it really REALLY was way out of date and from the stats wasn’t getting much in the way of visits, apart from some people who obviously had some thought about going down memory lane, and as mentioned before there are far FAR better sites for Joomla nowadays.

This site will now be moved onto something that I’ve meant to do for a little while, but have only just gotten off my arse to do something about; technology.  I am an itinerate fiddler and hacker of software and technology to try and put together something that fits my needs.  This site will now act as a repository for all that information that I have found, and that hopefully you will find useful too.  Most of the technologies and software will be around the open source model, but not exclusively so, and other gadgets and tools.

I am also hoping to include reviews to steer you towards, or well clear of, software/books/gadgets that I have found helped my in my day-to-day stumblings through life and the Internet.

As is always the way with me, this site will grow VERY organically – so you will have to bear with me a little bit as things settle down into their respective places and some form of structure slowly builds up.  I am hoping that some of the underlying technologies and tools used to build this site will make me Google friendly and therefore increase its usefulness.
