Components written by me! I think this will be a fairly empty section of the site, but at least I now have a home for these rarities.

I have updated the WebcamXP Component, Module and Mambot for use with Joomla! 1.0.x, which can be found here. All three elements are installed automatically, when you install the component.
The update is just a minor one to better support the way Joomla! handles mambots, improve some presentation elements and tighten some code. |

OK Guys n' Girls, in my quest to get ever more useless products into the Mambo stable I have completed development of a component which allows you to stream webcam images from your PC direct into your website. This component requires you to have the WebcamXP software installed and running on your PC, or someone else's.
The component also allows you, if you switch the option on, to chat with the viewer/viewee. If you do happen to wander past this website, click on the WebcamXP menu option in the menu and send me a message. |

Hmmmm, it seems there may be an issue with my WebcamXP component and the Firefox browser, as seen by this posting on MozillaZine. The issue, identified by yardbird, is a complete crash of Firefox and even a hosing of WindowsXP. The issue, unfortunately or fortunately, does not affect all Firefox users; which makes tracing the problem somewhat harder. I am working my way through the java code produced by the component to make sure I haven't made some nasty mistake in there, and will post any problems I find. As soon as I have found any issues I will issue a fix. If you are a Firefox user, please look at the WebcamXP component and drop me a line via e-mail or within the forum to tell me how you got on. |

I am in mid development of a component which allows you to view how many articles have been written by your authors, between two dates, and how many words per articles. This is in response to a question on the Mambo Forum, as to whether this functionality was available. I thought it would be a nice toe-dip into the sea of Mambo development. |
